Rudy S. Iwai's Obituary
Rudy Sadao Iwai, 71 of Tacoma, Washington, passed on while sleeping January 30, 2018. He was born to Kenichi and Chiyoko Iwai, April 9, 1946 in Waimea, Kauai. Rudy would go on to become a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army and later retire as a diesel mechanic at the port of Tacoma. He loved to travel, explore, hunt, fish, gamble, crack jokes, and spend time with his ohana. Rudy is survived by his wife Sopha; sister Irene; sons Owen and Coleman; daughter Leilani; 10 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 2:30PM at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St. Kent, Washington 98042.
