Rudolph Belmont Wright's Obituary
Rudy passed away August 26th, 2022 at his home in Spanaway at the age of 88.
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Evelyn Wright of Spanaway, he is survived by his brother Robert I Wright, Jr. of Federal Way, sister, Carol McFarland of Spanaway, nieces Shawn McFarland of Parkland, Wa, Susan Llufrio, (Rich), of Spanaway, Bonnie Anderson of University Place, Molly Strausbaugh (Doug), of Port Orchard, nephew Jeff Wright (Gudrun) of Comano Island, and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
Rudy was a member of the Clover Park Ancient Warriors and the Tacoma Elks. In earlier years he was an avid skier and hiker and photographer, only giving it up when arthritis forced him to stop. For several years he worked at the Parkland Sports Center, tuning and repairing skis. He was a graduate of Clover Park High School, veteran of the United States Air Force, truck driver and farmer who raised cattle and cut, raked and baled hay for many neighbors for many years. He loved music and still had a wonderful tenor voice and a wicked sense of humor. He could bake a delicious apple pie and if you were lucky, you would get homemade Turtles or Stollen for Christmas. He loved family gatherings and especially looked forward to going to breakfasts with his long-time friends, The Clover Park Ancient Warriors. He was a kind, generous man who will be greatly missed.
Services to be announced at a later date.
