Rudolf Hans Marty's Obituary
Rudolf Hans Marty died on November 6, 2020 in the comfort of his own home in Puyallup, WA. Rudy was born on December 26, 1947 in Switzerland to Joseph and Anna Marty who preceded him in death. He is survived by his siblings, 5 nieces, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews, and many good friends.
Rudy and his family moved to the San Francisco area in 1950. Rudy graduated from Andrew J. Hill High School in San Jose, California. During his High School years, Rudy was active in the Civil Air Patrol for two years. After High School he joined the United States Air Force in 1968, where he served through 1973. After leaving the Air Force, he worked for NASA for five years. Rudy joined Boeing in 1985 and worked his way up to the lead wind tunnel engineer until his retirement in 2015. He was a resident of Puyallup since 1985.
After he retired, Rudy spent many happy hours focusing on his model train collection, videography, and tinkering on his many projects. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Lakewood. No funeral currently scheduled due to Covid.
