Roy P. Schiffer's Obituary
Roy Schiffer
Roy Schiffer had a brave 6 year fight with Cancer/AML Leukemia. He was born 12/23/37. He graduated from Lincoln High School, class of “57”, and married his high school sweetheart, Mildred (Dexter), class of “58”. They celebrated their 56 year anniversary this past June.
He was a very dedicated and good bowler. He loved to camp and RV and enjoyed woodworking in his workshop. Roy is survived by his wife, Mildred; 3 children, David (Iris) , DeAnn (Mike) and Darren (Terri); 4 grandchildren, Joshua (Jenny), Jared (Sarah), Macey (Chris) and Gillian; 7 great-grandchildren, Cody, Ethan Roy, Ryan, Kaelyn, Riley, Peyton and Faith. Roy retired from Asarco after 42 ½ years. His daughter’s Family, the Taylor’s were very helpful through this journey. We also want to thank his caregiver, Michael who was a very compassionate and caring person.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Franciscan Hospice or a cancer fund of your choice.
