Roy Henry Mason's Obituary
Mr. Roy H. Mason was born on February 14, 1927, in Hazlehurst, Miss., Copiah County, to the father and mother, Mr. George and Patsy Mason. Roy was the oldest of three children. He passed this life March 28, 2024, in Tacoma, WA.
He accepted Christ at an early age in life and stood on the word of God. Roy came to the Pacific Northwest in the 1950’s as a young man of 18yrs old. He went to work for The Great Northern Pacific Railway and then on to Burlington Northern. All that knew him, knew him as not only a hard worker, but a man driven with great passion for the railroad. After 46 years of service as a track inspector, he retired.
Roy is preceded in death by his Parents; Wife Mary, Daughter, Cleopatra; Brother, Amos; and Sister; Jannie. He is survived by his Daughter Nancy Mason; Grandchildren, Mary Monroe, Damon Monroe, Angelia Royal, LaSalle Bell, 7 great-grandchildren, and Cousin Russell Jackson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
