Pastor Roy E. Hartwell's Obituary
Pastor Roy E. Hartwell passed over into the Glory of our Father and Lord Jesus Christ March 20th, 2023.
It was he and his wife's 29th wedding anniversary. No tears here. The next great reunion and celebration when they will reunite again will be during the Marriage Supper of the Lamb for all those who ready themselves for that great catching away called the Rapture in Heaven. Are you ready for it? If Pastor Roy was to preach his last message before changing addresses and moving up and over to Heaven, it would be prepared and make yourself ready for this great event! You won't want to miss this for anything this world has to offer! Give your life to Jesus the All-Sufficient One.
Pastor Roy was born to Howard and Clara Hartwell in 1955. He is survived by his wife Valerie, son Roy Jr, daughters Clara, Athena, and Donna. He is also survived by several grandsons and granddaughters.
Pastor Roy was a proud working pastor. Never backing down to provide for his family and home while pastoring full time. Pastoring was never about a career, but a high calling Pastor Roy took seriously. Earning a degree as a BSEE electrical engineer from the University of WA he proudly worked as a Sr. Test Engineer for Hewlitt Packard, MS and Blue Origin while pioneering and pastoring Jesus Unlimited Church Spanaway, WA.
Pastor Roy and his wife met at Rhema Bible College Tulsa, OK in 1993. Meeting during their 1st year as students they married then graduated together in 1995. As a working pastor diligent and FAITHFUL about the Lord's business Pastor Roy led an impeccable life with a burning passion for the Lord and His harvest. He has left behind an unmatchable zeal to carry this work forward to reach every heart and soul for JESUS.
Gone but NEVER forgotten Pastor Roy's unwavering faith and tenacious spirit to press into all God had for him his wife will continue till the Lord returns for we are all called to DO God's and OCCUPY till the Lord returns. Plunder hell populate Heaven and magnify the name of the majestic name of the Lord Jesus here on earth was Pastor Roy's heart and passion.
There will be a homegoing celebration in honor of Pastor Roy's life Sunday April 16th 4pm at Jesus Unlimited Christian Church in Pathway Church Spanaway, WA 6010 224th St E. Spanaway, WA 98378. A military burial will be Monday April 17th 11AM at Tahoma National Cemetery. Pastor Roy proudly served in the Air Force for 6 years with distinction.
