Roy Charles Miller's Obituary
Roy Miller passed away on November 16, 2003 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 1, 1922 in Bangs, Texas and has resided in Lakewood, WA since 1948. Roy is survived by his wife, Laurel Dot; his two sons, Ronnie (Carolota) and Ken (Sandy) Ferris; two daughters, Carmalita (Brad) Sherlock and Mary Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and his brother, Morris Â"RedÂ" (Mary) Miller.Roy was a veteran of World War II. He worked at Fort Lewis for 30 years, retiring from there in 1974. He was a member of the Board of Lakeview Light and Power for over 30 years, President of that Board for 20 years and was Vice-President at the time of his death. Roy was also active in many local service organizations.A memorial service will be held at the Mt. View Valley Chapel at 4 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2003. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lakeview Congregational Church.
