Ross David Minckler's Obituary
Ross David Minckler died at the grand old age of 80. He was born in Plattsburg, New York on January 22, 1939 and passed on to be with the Lord and his wife on September 6, 2019. He was married to Young Suk Minckler at the US Embassy in Seoul, Korea by the US Ambassador on April 26, 1962. After 21 years of service in the Army, he retired as a 1SG. During his time of service as an engineer and drill sergeant, he received the National Defense Service Medal, 6 Good Conduct Medals, 6 Army Commendation Medals, a Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and 2 Overseas Service Bars.
He enjoyed hunting, baseball, and gardening. He was a long-standing member of Lakewood Baptist Temple, which the family would like to thank the pastor and its church members for their prayers and support. His body will be buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Lakewood, Washington.
