Rose M. Lowenstein's Obituary
Tacoma, Washington - Rose Marie Lowenstein (Dutchuk) was born in Gorham North Dakota on July 12, 1930, to Nicholas and Anna Dutchuk, and passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Joe, son Jerry, daughter JoAnn, granddaughter Crystal and parents Nicholas and Anna. Upon her death, she was the last living survivor of her ten siblings. Left to grieve, are her daughter Marlene (Steve) and son Larry, her bonus daughters, Sue Schueler and Marcie Smith, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and her fur babies Monkey, Grandma and Trouble.
Rose and Joe were married in Belfield, North Dakota on July 15, 1950 where they started their family in which Jerry, Larry and JoAnn were born. They eventually relocated to Tacoma, Washington where their last child Marlene was born. Mom lived in our family home for over seventy years until her passing. She especially loved her outings to the Emerald Queen Casino where she would spend her time playing the slot machines. She greeted everyone with a smile. Her love for her family was unwavering. May her memory bring comfort to those her life profoundly touched.
A special thank you to Franciscan Hospice and Envision HealthCare at Home and Marcie and Sue for all they did for Mom.
