Rose E. Makay's Obituary
Rose was born February 8, 1924 in Germany to Frieda and Otto Schott. She married John Makay on November 24, 1951 in Landsberg, GE, then moved to Tacoma shortly thereafter. A resident of Washington for over 51 years, Rose was a much beloved wife, devoted mother and adored grandmother. A skilled needleworker, Rose has won numerous blue ribbons at several Puyallup fairs. She enjoyed flowers and country music but had a real passion for Bingo and the trips that both she and John took to Africa, Europe, and throughout the US. Rose is survived by her husband John; her daughters Cheryl Brawley, of Honolulu, and Helen Sick of Yelm; her son John, also of Tacoma; her grandchildren Tim and Jerad Makay, Sheryl Sick, Ricky Brawley; great grandson Dillan; and her brother Karl Schott. A Viewing will be held at 12:00 pm Friday (Today), October 25, 2002 at the Mt. View Valley Chapel with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment to be at Tahoma National Cemetery at a later date.
