Rose Ann Dales' Obituary
Rose Dales of University Place, Age 77, died peacefully in her sleep at home August 29, 2008. Rose was born in Flasher, North Dakota on June 11th, 1931; one of nine children. Her parents Jacob & Barbara Koch moved the family to Tacoma during WWII. Rose attended Visitation and St. Leo's Catholic Schools. An avid Bridge and Pinochle player, Rose could be found at the Tacoma Elks or a girlfriends home playing cards. She loved watching all sports on TV, with a passion for football and Seattle Mariner Baseball. Rose's greatest joy was spending time playing with her five grandchildren (Tori, Jacob, Ali, Danielle and Taylor) and great granddaughter (Adrianna). Her sweet soul will live forever in her children and grandchildren. Rose is survived by her husband of 51 years, Edward L. and their three children Debbie (John) Puryear of Tacoma; Gene (Jackie) Dales of Sammamish; and Lisa (Jim) Wassall of Tacoma. Her sisters Francis (Otto) Schroeder of Tacoma; DeloresE(Bob) Voth of Blaine; and brother Robert (Molly) Koch of Spanaway. A Memorial Service will be held at Visitation Church on Thursday, September 4th at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers; please donate to Catholic Community Services.
