Rosalie May Epperson's Obituary
Rosalie May Epperson, 82 passed away peacefully June 6, 2013 in Tacoma, WA. She was born on May 9, 1931 in Tacoma, WA to Glenn and Jean (Croft) Howell.
Rosalie married Robert P. Epperson on April 1, 1948 in Brookfield, Missouri. She worked for a number of years as a nurse’s aide and volunteered for the Red Cross, while in Okinawa. She was a true military wife. She loved to cook for an army and their home was always filled with friends.
Rosalie enjoyed reading, debating politics and religion, gardening, and their many years living at the beach. She also enjoyed being a snowbird with her husband and the many friends they met along the way. Her primary love and focus was always her children and grandchildren, teaching them life’s long lessons.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert Sr.; children Mare Saunders, Robert (Lois) Jr and Chris (Gary) Dressler; grandchildren Cassandra Crust, Lindsey Pudists, Brian Dressler, Brad Epperson and Kaitlyn Billingsley; great grandchildren Victoria Conner, Alexandra Humphrey, Wyatt Pudists, Maisie Rose Pudists, Theodore Pudists, Hazel Billingsly, Ava Epperson and Lucas E. Epperson and cousins Ruth (Hal) Webber, Jennifer and David (Cheryl) Stave. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kara Epperson, son-in-law Scott Saunders and her precious Westie “Tia”.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
