Rory James Sherman's Obituary
Rory is preceded in death by his adoring grandmother, Oneida Wares; grandfather, Richard Fisher; beloved mother, Terry L. Johnson; and estranged father, Cary Lou Sherman.
He is survived by cousins Steve Greiner and Catherine Ghavamian; best buddy and roommate, Shane; and many friends.
Rory grew up in Seattle and Bothell, Washington. He lived briefly in Iowa, Southern California, and the San Francisco Bay area. He spent most of his life as a resident of the greater Puget Sound region.
Rory was diagnosed in June of 2023 with stage IV prostate cancer. He passed away peacefully at home in Steilacoom, Washington on December 26, 2023.
Rory was intelligent, creative, talented, kind, and affectionate. He was well-known as the life of the party, and for his love of cars, particularly Lincoln Continentals. Rory was the most compassionate, supportive, and loving friend. He will be deeply missed by many.
Viewing will be 2 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Mountain View Funeral Home. No plans for a service are in place at this time.
