Roosevelt Leggin's Obituary
Roosevelt Leggins was born on May 21,1934 in Ruffin, South Carolina. Roosevelt Confessed Christ at an early age. In 1952, he became a member of St. Jude Temple #1 in Chicago, Illinois under the leadership of the late Pastor Blanche Knighting. In 1958, he became an ordained minister and in June organized St. Anthony Temple #13 in Hammond, Indiana. After he was ordained to bishop in August summer 1970, he was ordained as the National Father of St. Jude National Congress in Chicago, Illinois.
Roosevelt departed this life on Friday, May 31, 2024. Left to cherish his memory are: his two sons, Jerome and Edward Leggin of Tacoma, WA; eleven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
