Ron passed away on 21 September 2014, in Spokane, WA after suffering a cardiac arrest during the early morning hours. He was attending a family wedding north of Spokane with his sister and brother. He was born on 31 May 1949 at Ta Read Obituary
My Heart breaks for the Staple family.....it seems like yesterday we were teenagers swimming at the lake.
Our families has been intertwined for so many years, Ron was "one of ours" and the loss hurts to the very soul.

I also knew Ron through the offices of Employment Security Dept. His quirky sense of humor and efficient work style made him a welcome partner in helping folks develop job finding skills. A good gy gone too soon.

My family moved from Colorado in 1962, and I met the family in 1963 through his mother, Raye, who worked at Lakes High School. From that time, I felt that Ron was a bright star, full of fun and just a neat lad. We will all miss him and know that he is in a better place watching us.

Ronnie was my best friend growing up. He gave me the nick name of "LJ." Ronnie was an usher in my wedding. We played baseball together on the summer team his dad coached. We shared time playing second base. I was a reference for him as I worked at Employment Security in Lakewood...and Ron had just left the US Navy where he served our country, and he got a position with Employment Security...Ron was always upbeat and happy. He came from a super family that I knew well...Father, Mother, brother, and sister. Ron and his brother Ricky lived in the same duplex that my wife and I lived in. Ron had noticed our names written on the inside of the mailbox by the mailman. Wow. Our prayers go to Ron in Heaven and to his family.
My name is Denise Durbin and I had the great privalege to work with Ron and enjoy his great sense of humor, through working for Employment Security and later, Work First-Lakewood. He'd always let us know how many hours away Monday morning would be as we were leaving work Friday for the weekend :). I laughed a lot around him and he, when asked a question while I was laughing, would say "That all "Depends" :)
In the great Hereafter, I hope all ESD will be reunited and can laugh together with him and our Loved ones. IN Christ's Peace and Love and with a sad heart, "Goodbye for now, dear Ron".
