Ronald Allen Husted's Obituary
Ronald (Ron) Husted was born on March 23, 1943, in Portland, Oregon to Neil and Jennie Husted. He passed away on October 18, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington. Ron attended Puyallup High School, Bates Technical College, and Tacoma Community College. While attending Bates Ron met his wife, Janet. After graduating from Bates with a degree in electronics he joined the Air Force. Ron was a member of the IAM Union and Retirees of Lodge 297, Elks, and Community/Neighborhood Watch Groups.
Ron enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, spending time with family and puttering around his garage repairing various items. Ron attended many motorcycle races with his son, Kurt, acting as pit crew.
Ron was preceded in death by his son Kurt Husted, parents Neil and Jennie Husted. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Janet, daughter Kirsten (Michael) Olin, grandchildren Patrick (Brandy) Talley, Jeremy (Raylene Myers) Talley, three great grandchildren and his brother Robert Husted.
