Ronald F. Ovechka's Obituary
Ron died peacefully in his sleep at home on November 26, 2010 at the age of 79. He was born in New York City on March 21, 1931, living most of his life in Tacoma. Ron is survived by his wife Lola of 59 years, sons Rick (Leann), Ron (Jeri), daughters Dianne and Tammy (Rich), sisters Dolores Rocco, Leslie Schuchmann and brother Greg Ovechka. He will also be missed by his 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Ron proudly served his country in the Air Force for 22 years, and retired as Master Sargent on January 1, 1971. He then became a General Manager for a cable company until 1989. Ron loved football (GO HAWKS!) and trips to Reno.
Viewing will be Wednesday December 1st from 1pm to 9pm. Service will be held in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2nd at 10:00 am, followed by graveside services. A reception will follow at Rick & Leann Ovechka's home.
