Ron was one of my first bosses at Hooker Chemical, and encouraged me to be all I could be at a time and in a place when that was very rare. He gave me a great opportunity and I always adored him for that. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and honor. My condolences to his family and friends, for I am sure he will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##Teresa Hunt##imported-end##
Ron, you were a true gentleman. I had a huge amount of respect for you, the way you took care of your daughter, my friend, Marie. Not many men would take on that kind of responsibility. I will miss your wonderful smile.
Ron's family: Please tell Marie I've missed seeing her lately. Please tell her I know she will be okay because she has the strong will of her father, and people who love her.
Love, Karla##imported-begin##Karla Cody and Family##imported-end##
A fellow submarine veteran, I knew Ron for about ten years and would frequently see him at various gatherings of submarine veterans. Ron served aboard the USS Raton SS-270 as a Torpedoman 3rd Class between 1953 and 1955 and earned his submarine qualification insignia in the year 1954. His nick-name was "Tubes Fwd" because he worked in the torpedo room in the front of the boat. He was a good man and I am sorry to see him have to leave us.##imported-begin##Patrick Householder##imported-end##
Ron passing is a great shock to me. We always had lunch, when I was in town.
My sincere condolence to the family.##imported-begin##Bill Goodman##imported-end##
