Rodolfo Estrada Linsao's Obituary
Rodolfo “Rudy” Estrada Linsao, 72, of Steilacoom passed away in his home April 14, 2018. Born November 5, 1945 in Paniqui, Tarlac Philippines, Rudy was a retired Pharmacy Technician and Navy Veteran.
Rudy is survived by his son Paul Gille Linsao, grandson Aiden Christopher Linsao of Renton Highlands, and granddaughter Jasper Jade Luna Domaoan Linsao of Seattle. He is also survived by his sisters Carmen Linsao Martinez, and Magdalena Linsao Clemente from Paniqui, Tarlac Philippines, and his brother Ruben B. Linsao of Hong Kong, China.
He is preceded in death by his wife Aida Gille Linsao, his daughter Ruby Roxane Linsao, his father Severino Linsao, his mother Martha Estrada Linsao, and his siblings Aladino Linsao, George Linsao, Lilia Linsao Cortez, Norma Linsao Gonzalez, Eduardo Linsao, Oscar Linsao. He was the second youngest in the family.
Rudy graduated from Central Luzon High School, as Valedictorian. He excelled in math, science, loved to learn about world history, was a voracious reader, and loved to play chess.
He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Hartley (DE 1029), USS Denver (LPD-9), and was assigned to many Naval Hospitals and Naval Stations including Camp Pendelton, San Diego, CA, Newport, RI, Great Lakes, IL, Portsmouth, VA, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Rota, Spain, Pensacola, FL, Subic Bay, and Guam. Through his travels he met and forged long lasting and cherished friendships with his comrades.
Rudy and his wife Aida were classmates since the 1st grade. When he was stationed in Pensacola, FL, he got word that Aida was living in Toronto, Canada. He drove up to visit her, and soon after they married in 1979.
Rudy was a gentleman, who enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He loved to travel, take road trips, garden, plant flowers, grow giant pumpkins, and explore the northwest outdoors.
A celebration of life service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, WA, Thursday, April 26, 2018, 10:00am.
Committal service at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA is scheduled for Thursday, April 26, 2018, 2:30pm.
