Robinson "Gene" Zweigler's Obituary
Robinson "Gene" Zweigler passed away on August 25th, 2025, in University Place, WA at the age of 67. He spent the last few weeks of his life surrounded by family, friends, and his favorite treats.
He was born on August 25th ,1958 in South Korea to Richard W. Zweigler and Mija Kang. He was raised in Wisconsin, and spent the majority of his life in Washington. Gene is survived by his two daughters, Marissa and Emma Zweigler, a younger brother, Zachery Zweigler, his father, and his former wife, who remained in his life in the years following their separation, Susan Zweigler. Among those not mentioned is extended family living in Wisconsin, and many of his caretakers who reside here in Washington State.
Gene fought a long battle with End Stage Renal Disease, supported by his family, friends and pets. He enjoyed reading, motorcycles, videogames, food, movies, sci-fi, and history - most importantly, the Roman Empire. He was a dedicated businessman who worked to provide for his family and luckily spent the last years of his life retired. Many aspects of everyday life, both mundane and exciting, will harbor pieces of memories with him. Gene was a loving father and guiding light to those around him. Long live Gene the Ra.
