Roberta Jean Tyson's Obituary
Roberta J Tyson(Baldtrip) entered her eternal resting place peacefully on March 7, 2017 in San Bernardina, CA at the Age of 59. Roberta was born on August 14, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Bishop Roy and Missionary Betty Baldtrip (Morris). She grew up in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from North High School. Roberta was later blessed with a daughter Chiquita which brought a tremendous joy to her life. She moved to Washington State with her family in 1976, and recited there until 2015. She was married to Nathaniel (Nate) Tyson until the Lord called him home in 2011. She then move to San Bernardino to join her daughter and grand-kids and started a new life in the land of sunshine. Roberta enjoyed her family gatherings, reading the Bible, Sunday dinners and teaching the girls how to crochet.
Roberta grew up in a Christian family that loves to serve the Lord. She was very active in the church and she blessed so many families with the gift of loving their children and unconditionally, and teaching them to be honorable citizens of love and respect in the community. She was a member of God's Pentecostal Church where she previously held a youth leadership position, directed the church choir and later assumed responsibility of the Children's church. Roberta always looked for the good in everything and everyone, and was loved by so many. She was always full of encouraging words to others, and selflessly gave all that she could. She fought a good fight she was strong and courageous during her final days and it was full of charm and grace.
She is survived by her loving daughter Chiquita Macy, 3 grand-children Abriana, Melina, Camille, and 1 great grand-daughter Ahniah, the light of her life; 2 sisters Faye and Karen (Kevin); brother Roy (Rhondrea); God-brother Emanuel; and aunt and great aunt to a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
Preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel (Nate); father Roy; mother Betty; sister Donna Jean grandparents Clarence and Bessie Morris; Roy and Alice and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thanks to the San Bernardine Hospital, and Charter Hospice Care for a special care and support they provided. She will be missed by many. Roberta we will we see you in Heaven.
