Robert Vernon Woodruff's Obituary
Our Dad passed away peacefully in the early morning of March 1, 2012. He is now free from all pain and together forever in Heaven with our Mom, Lill, who preceded him in death in 2000. Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Bob moved to Tacoma in 1957 to raise his family. His years here were spent working as a longshoreman until his retirement. Bob found great enjoyment spending free time with his family camping and fishing, and was a longtime member of the Tacoma Elks. He is survived by his three children, Linda Ross-Raymond (Dick), Bonnie Selander, and Keven Woodruff (Robin), his brother Donald, as well as 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Be at peace, Dad, we will love you always and forever. A celebration of Dad's life will be held at Mountain View Garden Chapel at 1:00pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 with a reception to follow in the Celebration of Life Center. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
