Robert William Swan's Obituary
In loving memory of Robert William Swan. Robert was born in Tacoma Washington on April 18th 1949 and passed away October 07th 2023. He was the middle child of three. He graduated High school in 1968 from Mount Tahoma High School. Robert enlisted in the US Navy and served for 4 years traveling the world. He worked many different jobs supporting his family Tacoma Boat, Tacoma Recycling, and retired 20 years with the Pierce County WA Records Center.
Robert was involved with the Boy Scouts of America. As a young man he completed the highest-level Eagle Scout and later was a Scoutmaster for his son. Robert was an avid fresh and saltwater fisherman. He loved spending time outdoors walking, golfing, camping, metal detecting, and gardening. He loved spending time with his Grandchildren showing them how to garden and fish.
He is preceded in death by his Wife Linda, Father Joseph, Mother Louise, and Brother Ernie. He is survived by Daughter Angela (Justin), Son Matthew (Sherry), Granddaughters Sophia, Samantha, and Kaylee, Grandsons Kaleb and Liam, Partner Beth, Sister Wanda (Dennis), Nephews John, Tom, and Olin, Niece Pam. Robert touched many lives, and he will be missed. Families, friends, and others whose lives Robert touched are invited to Mountain View Funeral home 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA for a Viewing on October 20th at 11am-4pm and Funeral Service on October 21st at 10am (Garden Chapel).
