Robert M. Sipes Sr.'s Obituary
Robert (Bob) was born in Lewiston, ID in 1932 to Mary and Morris Sipes. The family moved to Tacoma in 1941, and he eventually graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. After High School he served his country in the Air Force. When he returned from his overseas duty, he married Lorna McCrary and began his career as a successful building contractor, with his father and brother Don. He worked until the age of 78, when he finally retired. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Jim and son, Jeffrey. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Lorna, children Robert Jr. (Rose), Lonn, Theresa Miller (Dana), Charles (Nancy) and twins Mark (Angi) and Mathew (Tom McKenna). Also survived by grandchildren Sara, Tyler, Isaac, Eliot, Samuel, Hannah, Gage and Brooke. Siblings Mardelle Pope, Donald Sipes, and Sally Riley. Dad loved us all and we loved him very much.
Viewing will be available at Mt. View Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 28 from 11AM to 4PM. Rosary at St. Charles Borromeo Parish Wednesday, May 28 at 6PM.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Charles Borromeo Parish at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 29, 2014, with a reception following.
