Robert Paul Mason's Obituary
Robert Paul Mason "Jesus loves me, this I know!" Born September 6, 1956 to Paul and Hilde Mason in Anniston, Alabama. They moved to Tacoma in 1958, where they made their home. Robert attended Geiger Elementary and Hunt Junior High School and was confirmed at St. Mark's by the Narrows Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of Wilson High School, after which he worked as a machinist at Tacoma Cable Craft. Robert owned Brothers Painting Company, named so in honor of his two brothers. In 1990 he made a career change when he started working for the Pacific Maritime Association, where he achieved the status of Class "A" Longshoreman at Local 23. Robert was a hard-working family man and a loving father with a good heart. We will always miss his sense of humor that touched so many lives. He was truly one of a kind. We love you dearly. Rest in heavenly peace my son, our father and our brother! Preceded by his father Paul Mason, his brothers Roy Mason and Richard Mason, and Robert's former wife Georgina Mason, Robert is survived by his mother Hilde Mason, his sons Travis Mason and wife Jessie and Ben Mason, sisters Mary Grote and Brandy Collins and husband Rocky, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at St Marks Lutheran Church by the Narrows (253-752-4966), August 30th, 2009 at 3PM.
