Robert J. Marzola
Robert Joseph Marzola went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2013. Robert was born on march 19, 1924 to Ethel and Matthew Marzola in Dakota, West Virginia. Robert Joined the Marines in 1942 and was in the first wave on Peleliu and Okinawa. He married Helen Patsko in 1947, Helen passed away in 1978. In 1948 their daughter Patricia was born. Patricia passed away in 2011. Robert has three grandchildren, Sandy, Amy, and Jimmy (Theresa) Gravseth, and one great grandchild, Gavin Gravseth.
In 1947 Robert joined the Federal U.S. Bureau of Prisons, after an Honorable Military Discharge in 1945. He retired in 1976 from NcNeil Island Corrections Center. He received masny certificates and commendations throughout his career.
Robert is survived by his second wife, Bette Marzola, her four children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Tacoma on November 3, 2013 at 1:00pm, followed by a Military burial at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood at 4:00pm on November 3, 2013.
