Robert Mahoney's Obituary
Robert Joseph Mahoney passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Sept. 20, 2013 at 87. Robert was born in Fullerton, Nebraska to James and Vesta Mahoney on May 9, 1926 spending his early years in St. Edward Nebraska. Robert joined the Navy when he was old enough to enlist, and then settled in the Pacific Northwest when he finished his tour. After working for Kenworth and then Leckenby he spent many years as a welding instructor at Green River Community College where he retired after many rewarding years of teaching. Robert is survived by his wife Gudrun Mahoney whom he shared 59 loving years. Also one sister Marry Baustert and one brother Leo Mahoney, he is also survived by one daughter Kathleen Gleason (Ed), Two grandchildren April and Robert and two great grandchildren Robert and Wayne. Per his request the family will have a small intimate ceremony to mourn his death and more important to celebrate his life.
