Dina and Jeff - Thank you for your kind words. I know you also lost your Father several years ago, and how hard it was on you as well.
I really miss him! Seems like everytime something happens I want to tell him, then it sinks in that he is gone.
I have so many great memories though, can't really think of one bad one, which is rare. He was a rare man - he taught me to smile and be always hopeful and optimistic - No matter what!
I know he knew how much we all loved him - I told him one day that he was a good Dad, and he smile and held my hand and said, "I know". What a great thing to know - that life's most important job, being a Father, was well done.
I had a hard time picking up my violin as the last time I played he was dying,,,
But, I have gone back to Orchestra practice as I know that he would not be pleased if I quit. (we played duets together, every week up till his death), and all the sudden, I can read music a liitle bit better - I think my Dad is right by my side! (and I didn't practice much at all, so I know he has a hand in this!)
Thank you again, and anyone who came to the services or reads this book, for the support and love.
Much love - Priscilla and family##imported-begin##Priscilla Poole##imported-end##

Saw the notice in the Tri-City Herald on Robert Schlegel. What a nice man Robert was. My interest is family history. My uncle, born in Dayton, Wa., in 1899, was George Schlegel. He married my mother's sister, Eunice Ring in 1926. His parents were Nellie (Sweeney), and Howard H. Schlegel. Since his father left the home, I was not able to find out much about him. It peeked my interest when I saw Robert's name. One interesting fact; Uncle George, who died in 1962 at age 63, owned and operated Union 76 service Station in Umatilla in the 1950's. Also had a station, Union 76, in Dayton. If there is any connection noticed to Carl C. Schlegel, I would appreciate contact. Thank you. Robert sounds like he was a very loving person, and I enjoyed reading about him. I esp. liked that he never differentiated between family; that he loved them all. He will be missed! Dear Priscilla, So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I know how much he meant to all of you. The obituary was beautiful. Always remember that to live in the hearts of those we leave behind is to never die. I love that quote, it rings so true. Our love, Dina, Jeff, & family##imported-begin##Dina Kramer##imported-end##
