Robert was born to Willie and Quentella Ladd in Burnt Corn, AL. Robert was in the Army from 1951-1966 traveling to many places in the world. In October 1960, he married the love of his life, Maria. In 1964, Robert got stationed at Ft. Lewis and they moved to Tillicum, WA. After leaving the Army in 1966 he was immediately hired at Boeing where he stayed until he retired, at the age of 80, in January 2015. Over the years he enjoyed his four kids, six grandkids, many “adopted” kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed his overalls, his 57 orange Chevy truck, vanilla milkshakes, jazz/blues/gospel music and working at Boeing. After Maria died in May 2004, work is what kept him going.
