Bob and I were good friends at Des Moines Tech. He entered the Air Force a few months before I did and came to visit me while I was in Basic Training at Parks AFB, CA. We ran into each other at Clark AFB, Philippines, and we lost contact.
He had such a great attitude and was always ready to laugh or make others laugh.
I would think of him from time to time and finally did a web search and learned of his passing. The world is surely a poorer place with his absence.##imported-begin##James D. (Jim) Sullivan##imported-end##

My sincerest sympathies to Ginger, Doug, Lynette, Corey and Devon. Bob was the kind of neighbor everybody wishes they had. Anyone need a hand, Bob was there. He was a pillar of this neighborhood. He would come over during the summer and sit and talk and joke. I will miss him and I am proud to have been able to say I knew him and he was my friend. My condolences to Bobs family. I worked with Bob over the years at Boeing Exsperimental Flight Test and have many fond memories of our shared time together. I also and specially recall our special times spent on Sat afternoons sitting in the stands watching the Lutes play many football games. We had a shared venture as our sons had played for the Lutes, although at different times we had a common thread of being part of the Lute family. Lynette,
I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could've been there for you the other day at work - I have been thinking of you constantly since that time.
I wish I could make it all better, but that is not possible. All I can offer you is a shoulder, an ear, and the experience of knowing a little about how you feel as I also have lost my father. I am here if you need me - just let me know. I really honestly mean it - any time, any place - day or night. Let me just listen or help if I can. You are such a wonderful person. I know that your father must still be very proud of his little girl.
