Robert Joseph Backstein"Bob"Bob arrived on earth April 25, 1932 in Phoenix, AZ and departed for Heaven April 20, 2008.Bob is survived by his eternal sweetheart Mary Lee (Coy), six children; Sharon (Mike) Woodhouse, Robin (Ted) Smith, Robert (Sarah), Julie Johnson, Jennifer (Alan) Thompson, Mark (Emily), 27 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.In 1955 Bob was stationed at Ft. Lewis while serving in the U.S. Army. He later returned to the University of Arizona to complete his law degree. During his career as an Attorney for nearly 50 years Bob served as a city Attorney for Phoenix & Tacoma & other local cities in Pierce County.Of his many accomplishments, Bob found great joy in serving his family, church, friends & community.Viewing, Thursday April 24th from 4-8pm at Mt. View Funeral Home.
