Mary, Lorraine, and Larry-
When Mary and I became good friends (now best friends) in high school, I remember going to the Humm house for the first time. WOW! Their back yard was the most amazing yard I had ever seen! I made sure I always told "Mr. Humm" that. Later in my life, after having kids of my own, I was informed that I could now call Mr. Humm, "Bob". When Mary moved in with her dad a few years ago, I really got to spend some quality time with Bob. I will treasure the memories of our coffee outings and me bringing him a cup of "Barbara coffee" every time I went for a visit. I'm glad he got to spend time with my 2 grand kids. My granddaughter River especially loved Bob. He will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will truly miss him.
Lots of love, Barbara

I will also remember that no matter where we lived growing Uncle Bob and you guys would come and visit. Those were fun times, and great memories for me. I remember how patriotic Uncle Bob was, as well as a tough guy. My thought are with you.

Mary Ann, Lorraine, and “Humm Boy”, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He really was a great man. I have many wonderful memories from when I was little and we would visit all of you or you would visit us. Later when I visited with my family your dad was so welcoming and so much fun to be around. I hope you find comfort in your many memories of your loving father.
May you Rest In Peace Uncle Bob and my prayers to your family and friends that they find comfort in the knowledge they will see you again in Heaven.
My daughter Kat nicked named him Grizzly Bob when she was little, and he named her Tuffy. There was a special bond there from the beginning and she is deeply saddened by his passing as so many of us are.
When I lived in Lakewood in the late 90’s, Bob would come over once or twice a week for coffee and a chat. He was great company and I loved those mornings. He’s what I missed the most about leaving Washington. Even as a child I could see that he was a wonderful father to his kids. And that’s part of what made him such a very special uncle.

I knew very little of Bob and June when I was young. Although the visits were brief as a child I could still sense the love they carried and shared with others. As an adult the stories of my father Bob shared with me truly touched me and filled a void in my heart. I am thankful for the moments I was able to spend with him, and am eternally grateful for the gifts he has given me.
Bob was my neighbor for 30 years. I will miss him
