Dear Peggy and Robin,
My prayers and thoughts are with you in the loss of your Father. I still remember him when we attended the People's church before it became Covenant Celebration. Garret Treadwell passed a message along to me of your expressed well wishes when he saw you last. I too, get misty eyed as April 23, 2010 marks one year since my late Sister Lorraine-Jane passed (age 69)from fighting cancer for five years. I took family medical leave for two months to be her hospice care back in Sitka, Alaska. She was the ultimate example of godliness, love, and forgiveness and the glue that held our family together. My sister often quoted me this Scripture, "whether I live or whether I die, I am the Lord's." I am sure the hope we have is eternal. People who came to her and husband Glenn's home kept seeing angels and even in the funeral home, some elders saw angels standing the midst of the casket area and walking the aisles, my own sister saw them hovering over her before they descended right into her abdominal and chest area. The heat of their presence was so extreme I called my brother over to her bedside and that is when she told us about it. I say all this to encourage you because your parents loved the Lord. This I know as a believer, we may take our last breath in this world, but our very next breath is in heaven. Take care.
As we say in Russian Orthodoxy: Christ is Risen from the dead, trampling down death, by death, and upon those in the tomb bestowing life.

Sincerely in Christ,
