Robert Joseph Grenon Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby was born in Providence, RI on July 14, 1922 and passed away in Lakewood, WA on Nov. 24, 2015 at the age of 93. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served in the Signal Corps on the USS Lexington during WWII. He was given a Presidential Citation, signed by Pres. Harry S. Truman. He retired from Marine Iron Works after 30 years as a machinist making struts for the Boeing Co. He was a lifetime member of the Tacoma Elks and the Intnl. Assn. of Machinists Lodge #160.
He was married for 57 years to Ethel (Rose), who passed in 2005. He was also predeceased by his son, Robert Jr. (Butch), daughter Judy Foster and step-daughter Marlene Chance, sisters Pauline Cardinal and Irene Lessard.
He is survived by his step-daughter Carolynn (Wayne) Howard, grandsons Wayne Howard Jr., Stephen Howard, Jason and Jeff Foster, Tim, David and Mark Chance, granddaughters Erika Olson and Tammy Chance. He is also survived by his sisters Annette Grant, Helen Nelson, Mary Payne and Lois Madden. He had 3 great granddaughters, 8 grandsons, 1 great-great granddaughter, and 3 great-great grandsons.

Private graveside services at Mountain View Memorial Park, with a memorial service to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd at 2:00 pm at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 8601 104th St SW, Lakewood, WA.
