Robert found solace in nature. Whether walking through lush forests or casting a line into a tranquil river, he reveled in the beauty of the natural world. His love for wildlife extended beyond admiration; he actively supported conservation efforts, advocating for the protection of endangered species.
As a loyal Seahawks fan, Robert cheered for his team with unmatched enthusiasm. Sundays were spent surrounded by family, donning his Seahawks gear, and celebrating victories.
Robert bravely served his country during the Vietnam War. His sacrifice and dedication to duty left an indelible mark on his character. Robert’s heart was big enough to embrace all children, especially those with disabilities. He worked tirelessly to create inclusive spaces and provide opportunities for growth.
Robert is survived by his wife Shannon Gorley: his partner in love and life; his daughters Ayla, Desiree, and Charlotte, who carry forward his legacy of compassion and kindness.
