Robert G. Hayden's Obituary
Bob Hayden passed away on Thanksgiving morning after living a long and fulfilling life in the Northwest. He was born the second child of Charlie and Mae Hayden in Snohomish, WA. As a child the family moved to the University Place area, where he spent the majority of his life. Bob worked for 35 years in the Puget Sound tug boat industry. He was a wonderful storyteller, an avid sports fan, and always curious about life. After retirement, he spent many years on the Tacoma senior bowling circuit.
Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years Teddy; four children: Robin Friel, Chuck Hayden, John (Sandra) Hayden and Mark Hayden together with 8 grandchildren (Jennifer, Richard, Shannon, Rob, Mike, Morgan, Cory, and Christopher) and 8 great-grandchildren.
At his request Bob was cremated and his ashes will be spread in the Puget Sound. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The family asks that a donation be made to the animal shelter.
