Robert Patrick Farkas was born March 24, 1926; and died July 8, 2013.
Robert, son of Emilia Fleigle and Carlos Farkas was born in Providence RI, March 24, 1926. His early years were adventuresome since at age 2 he moved with his family to Buenos Aires, Brazil and onto Brooklyn where he was raised. Bob entered the Capuchin Abbey at age 17 and then onto the Merchant Marines, retiring from the US Army in 1969. He married his wife, Anso, in Korea on February 20, 1970.
Bob and Anso have lived in Lakewood for 38 years, are members of St Frances Cabrini Parish, and Bob was a Past Grand Knight, Past Faithful Navigator and Former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus.
Bob was a clear thinking dignified gentleman, with a love of life. His wife, Anso was his primary focus in life and the joy of their marriage is a model for all couples in love.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM, with funeral services at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church 5707 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA.
