Robert F. Robinson
Born 1/9/21 in Watertown, SD, went to be with the Lord 12/1/09. Robert excelled in football & basketball, receiving local and state awards and honors in high school and college. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in WWII, and later worked in sales at Fibreboard and St. Regis. For 35 years "Oyster Bob" distributed clams, oysters, crab, and geoducks in western Washington. For the last 21 years he and his wife, Shirlee, wintered in Mesa, AZ, where he was active in shuffleboard, having won many trophies and was awarded the first State Ambassador Award by the Arizona State Shuffleboard Association. He was a member of Christ Community Baptist Church of Puyallup and associate member of Grace Church in Mesa, AZ. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Clara Robinson, and his brother, Richard (Dick). He is survived by wife Shirlee, 4 sons B Richard (Margaret), Robert Gary, Alan (Janene), and Mark, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; daughter- in-love, Duaina (Carlos) Fejerang, 1 niece, and 2 nephews. Robert had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved people and showed kindness to all. We love him and will miss him very much. Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 10 at Christ Community Baptist Church, 8016 176th St. E, Puyallup, WA 98375. Donations may be made to Tacoma Pierce County Chaplaincy or Tacoma Youth for Christ.
