Dear family and friends of Robert,
I had never met Robert before when he joined his and my friends Roz and Josie on a trip to Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. We got introduced, and I showed them around as we went on walks and had diner on a fun night out. That time was spent laughing and admiring the city and I got to know him as a kind, warm and smart man. His great sense of humour and his dedication to friends and family where clear. We discussed so many things that at the end of their stay he made a promise that he would return to Amsterdam as he really enjoyed his time here. In hindsight I am very happy he had such a great time. I am sad he is no longer with us. Robert showed a talented bright mind and his generous heart in the way that he was interested in people, cultures and open to new things. I wish everyone the courage and strength in this difficult time.
