Robert Edward Crow 's Obituary
Robert Edward Crow was born June 4, 1936 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. At the age of 2, his mother Evelyn passed away. Robert and his dad Bert moved in with his grandma and Popo whom he always called Jessie and Sod Alvard, and their two sons Lee and Jim. Louise was born one month later and later joined by Bertha several years after that. Louise remembers him always holding her hand and being the big brother. Grandma knew where one was, the other would be also. When Robert was nine years old, they all, except for Bert, moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon, in a 1941 Oldsmobile. At the age of 12, Robert and Jim took the train back to Arkansas. When planning to return to Oregon a year later, his dad refused to let him go, stating he had to stay with Bert and step-mother Maxine. Around the age of 17 with the help of Lee, he was able to make his way back to Oregon. In 1955 Robert married Claudine Wagner and together they had a son named Curtis. When Curtis was two years old, Robert was drafted into the army. Being a single parent, he had to leave Curtis with his in-laws for two years of his Enlistment period. Robert worked as a pipe extruder in California before moving to Washington to work for Superlon. Having had a stroke, he decided it was time and retired after almost 40 years. In retirement he enjoyed puttering in the yard and visiting family, especially his angels as he called his great-grandchildren. Following a car accident two years ago, his health began to decline. He was able to attend his grandson Dan's wedding before passing a week later. He is survived by his life partner, Corrine, daughter-in-law, Karin, grandchildren, Dan (Caroline), Don (Daina), and Rochelle (Tommy) and great-Grandchildren Carter, Alexia, Brooke and Hollie, Step-sister Wanda Day and many other relatives and friends.
