Robert Cole's Obituary
Robert Leon Cole. Robert was born on October 22, 1951 in Bryson City, NC, and passed away at home on June 24, 2015 in Lakewood, WA. Robert passed away following a long battle with kidney failure and many other health issues. He is survived by his loving family: his wife Linnea of 37 years, son John (Mary Beth), daughter Jennifer (partner K. William Claunch), son Robert Andrew, five grandchildren (James and Katelin [son and daughter of John and Mary Beth]; Taylor [daughter of Robert Andrew and Nyra Spencer]; Kenneth Claunch Jr. [son of K. William Claunch]; and Adyson Anderson [daughter of Nyra Spencer and Steve Anderson]), mother Betty, and sisters Marilyn Toland (Richard) and Debbie Whitford (James), in addition to many more extended family in both Washington State and North Carolina. His father Robert Sr. predeceases him. Robert was a police officer in McCleary and Elma before serving as a communications officer for Pierce County 911 services for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and traveling
the country with his wife. He had a strong dedication to family, and loved being part of his children and grandchildren’s lives. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA on July 24, 2015 at 3:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at his son John’s home.
