Robert (Bob) Rowland Case's Obituary
Robert (Bob) Rowland Case, 89 of Rochester, Washington, passed away on January 6, 2026 at St. Peter's Hospital Olympia, surrounded by family and friends. Born on May 30, 1936 in Marshal, Michigan, he was the son of Herbert and Elizabeth Case.
Bob graduated from the Howe Military Academy. In 1954, he began his military service in the Army where he earned honors. After being discharged from the Army, Bob held many positions. He worked for the railroad, a radio station, was a machinist for Tacoma Boat Building, and a mechanic at the WSU extension center in Puyallup, WA. He became a DSHS Caregiver in his later years. Robert enjoyed tinkering with computers and gardening.
Bob was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Recently, Robert became a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, Scatter Creek Ward, in Rochester, WA. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, and ability to tell an amazing story.
Bob is survived by his three sisters: Peggy; Mary; Kay; and his son, James.
Robert will be laid to rest at Mountain View Memorial Park, in Lakewood, along his beloved wife, Judy, who preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the National Ataxia Foundation.
