ROBERT C WALTERS
1936 - 2009
Passed away on June 18th after a short illness. He will be dearly missed by his wife Sally; his children Scott Walters and Susan Reedy; stepchildren Dennis Upton and Larry Upton; four grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many friends and family members. Robert was born October 6, 1936 in Merrill, WI and lived in Racine, WI until 1979, when he moved to Tacoma. Shortly thereafter, he met Sally and they were married August 8, 1980. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father and stepfather, and doting grandfather. His dog Corky will especially miss him. He loved rainy days and watching the Seahawks and the Mariner games. He enjoyed getting a burger and eating it down on Ruston Way while looking at the water. He loved the Northwest where he didn't have to shovel snow. Instead of good-bye, we'll say what he always said to us: "See you in the next chapter." A memorial service is planned for later in the summer. Memorials may be made to the Tacoma-Pierce County Humane Society.
