Robert "Bob" Watts' Obituary
Robert Norman Watts was born August 13, 1946 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and spent most of his life as a long time WA resident. Loving parents Glenn and Johanna Watts raised Bob and his older brother Jack Watts in northern California. Bob was a lover of many things. He loved his wife, Judy, with all his heart, his family, being on a boat in the beauty of the Puget Sound, and fast cars. He had many chapters in the book of his life. Bob was once in the Army, owned automotive body, transmission, and auto repair shops; for a bit, maintained rental properties, and worked for Mohawk Plastics all while raising a family of two boys, Jerry and John, and two girls, Stephanie and Bobbie. Bob, who they called “DA”, loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren who were a source of great joy in his life. Whenever he wasn’t working or spending time with family, you could find him on his boat, trying to catch a fish, throwing crab pots, in the garage making something with his hands, or at least creating a good story for the day. Bob had a firm faith in Christ. He was a member of the Lutheran community for many years, always willing to help anyone without being asked or needing any recognition. Everyone, especially every member of his large family, will sorely miss him. Please join us in honoring the life of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend Robert “Bob” Watts with the sure and certain hope of the resurrection on Sunday, Sept. 3rd 12:30pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1315 N Stevens St., Tacoma, WA 98406. Donations can be made in Bob’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Gig Harbor Puget Sound Anglers.
