Robert "Bob" James Tucker Jr.'s Obituary
Robert James Tucker Jr. (Bob) was born in Milburn, West Virginia in 1932 to Robert J and Allie (Bell) Tucker.
Bob joined the Army where he spent time in Germany, Korea and Japan before receiving an honorable discharge.
Bob met Audrey (Hix) in Kansas City Mo. who he married in December of 1962 and relocated to Tacoma WA in 1966. Bob was involved in the Civil Rights Movement and participated in protests, marches and sit-ins as a member of C.O.R.E.
Bob worked at St. Regis Paper Mill and the Asarco Smelter until its closure in 1986.
With over thirty-five (35) years as a Mason, Bob held multiple positions that included; Past Master of the Arthur Ury Lodge # 73, Past Grand Lodge Officer of the MWPHGL of WA state, Right Worshipful Master of Headquarter Lodge #75, Special Deputy Grand Master District # 2. Bob also belonged to the Cascadian Consistory #75 and the Shriner Yemen Temple 152.
Bob was the life of the party. All events are documented by his love for photography. He loved sports, the outdoors, traveling, fishing, and family camping trips. Spending his last years on the lake with his dogs, brought him great joy and peace.
Bob is survived by his sister Leva Brown (Roanoke VA), daughters Teri Tucker, Tami (Willie) London, son Robert James Tucker III ( Martina), and Audrey Tucker, his lifelong friend and partner along with 8 grandchildren, 8 great-children and multiple nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our appreciation for those who have kept us in their thoughts, who said a prayer, offered a hug or words of support.
