Robert W. Armstrong's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of
Robert William Armstrong
September 11, 1964 – April 29, 2013
Robert William Armstrong was born on September 11, 1964 in Tacoma, Washington. Although he lived in Hawaii and Illinois for a time as a child and for one year as an adult in Florida, Bobby made Tacoma his home almost his entire life.
After receiving a GED, Bobby made a career in maintenance. His personal interests were fishing, walking, reading and listening to 70’s rock music. He was a true cat lover and had many beloved pets over the years. He also was a proud member of the Raider Nation – although he certainly stood out by choosing the Oakland Raiders when he came from a family of Seahawks fans!
Bobby was the smallest and quietest in a large, loud family. Although he never married and had no children, he was loved by many. Bobby is survived by his mother Gladys Armstrong and his siblings Anna (Roger) Bean, Willy Armstrong, Wanda Rutledge, Glenda (Tom Bean) Wiggins, Anita Davis, Angie Rave, Tommy (Kym) Armstrong, Ronny Armstrong, Tony Armstrong, and Lisa (Scott) Faker as well as 17 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Robert W. Armstrong and niece Rosy Armstrong.
Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
