Robert "Reezy" DeWayne Anderson Jr.'s Obituary
Robert DeWayne Anderson, Jr. was born in Tacoma, Washington on June 8, 2003 to parents Robert Anderson, Sr. and Leanda Jackson. He attended Deer Valley High School in Antioch, California. Robert enjoyed playing sports. He was affiliated with Tacoma Hustle youth sports program, and played football with Oakland Jr. Raiders. His favorite position was wide receiver, because he wanted to be the one to do the touchdown dance. Coming from a family with a true love for the art of music, Robert initially had no interest in playing an instrument. With strong encouragement from his mom and older sister, he took on playing the saxophone in middle school. He fought tooth and nail but was a pure natural at creating beautiful sounds with that instrument. A favorite video is of Robert playing the happy birthday song and has been enjoyed by many family and friends on their special day over the years. He enjoyed fishing with his uncle Amereo and spending time with his cousins.
Robert is survived by his mother, Leanda Jackson; sisters Jaishona Ester and Ayana McMurrian; paternal grandmother, Baron Twitty; partner Alexis Jackson and unborn baby girl, nephew, niece, godmother, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Anderson, Sr.; maternal grandfather and grandmother Willie and Valerie Jackson.
Robert had a wonderful spirit, caring heart, and infectious smile. His untimely departure on January 29, 2024, at the young age of 20 years old has left us heartbroken. We will hold him and the endless memories in our hearts forever.
