Born in Monroe, Louisiana, on June 27, 1941, Robert’s life was marked by dedication, service, and love. He attended Grambling State University, where he played baseball and was a member of the drumline, cultivating the discipline and teamwork that would come to define his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later continued his military career in the U.S. Air Force as a supply technician, retiring with honor.
After his military service, Robert transitioned to the aerospace industry, where he applied his logistical expertise in the private sector. His work ethic and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and peers alike.

Robert was married to his beloved wife, Joan, for over 50 years. Together, they raised two children—a son and a daughter—instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and service. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.
