Ricky Loren Dodge's Obituary
Ricky L. Dodge, 63, of University Place, WA, passed away peacefully on June 27th, 2023. He was born on August 26, 1959, in Rochester, MN, to Donna M. Hagen and Loren R. Dodge. He graduated from Byron High School in 1979. Ricky achieved the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Order of the Arrow, a prestigious honor society for scouts.
Ricky served in the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1999, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. He had a distinguished career in various fields, including logistics, communications and technology. He was stationed in several locations around the world, such as Germany, Italy, Greece and Japan.
After retiring from the Air Force, Ricky pursued his passion for IT and worked for several companies, including Microsoft and the SBA. He was an expert in his field and a mentor to many. He was always willing to lend a hand and solve any problem. In his pursuit of career fields in Technology, he also achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security just this year.
Ricky was a loving husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jeanne; his children, Rickjohn and Jearicamarie; and his brother Rory. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on July 16th at 11:30 am to 4:00 pm at Aspen Chapel Mountain View Funeral Home. At 3:00 pm the Gun Salute and at 3:40 pm the Blessing Service By Father Mike.
