Rick Larue Lynch's Obituary
Rick Larue Lynch, age 71, passed away on November 29, 2023 in Tacoma, Washington. He was born on October 28,1952. His parents were Peggy Virginia and Thomas Matthew Scoggin. Rick was a great guy who was always happy and liked everyone. He often greeted friends and family with "Hi Honey!". He loved animals, especially his cat Presley and family dog Kilo. He loved art and music. His favorite bands were Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Great White. He had a large collection of movies and loved old classic and action films. He loved food, especially cheeseburgers! He enjoyed going to Cascade Park Activity Center twice a week for the past year and a half where he enjoyed contact with people, especially the staff. Rick was an artist all of his life and spent many hours a week painting and drawing. Rick loved his family and was especially close to nephews, Josh and Aaron, and niece Brittney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brothers: A.J. Lynch, Shannon Scoggin, and Skipp Scoggin; and sister: Gina Scoggin. He is survived by sister, Starla Scoggin Sanders, and sister-in-law, Michelle Engles. He is also survived by nephews: Josh, Aaron (Alaina), and Kanan; nieces: Brittney and Danni (Josh); great-nieces: Emmamarie (Dalton), Faith, Nevaeh, Ava, Harper, and Wrenley; great-nephews: Chase, Mason, Jace, and Justin; and great-great-nieces: Kenslie and Oaklie.
Rick was such a kind, considerate, sweet man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Rick was a Christian and loved the Lord. He is now rejoicing with his family in heaven.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 13, 2023 at 12:00pm in the Oak Room at Mountain View Funeral Home's Celebration of Life Center. All are welcome to join his family in the celebration of Rick.
